English Translation of Wiggles installieren auf Windows 10

Hey Folks,

I've graduated to Windows 10 and I'm really hoping to get Diggles going again!
I see someone has had some success with Windows 10 before ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQt8LFwB_ws ) but unfortunately for me I am unable to benefit from this video because I don't speak German. I'm going to attempt to use Youtube's autotranslate feature but in case that is insufficient, would anyone be willing to translate the gist of the content to me here?

(also I have tried the international version of the SetMode file I didn't have any luck with it)

Yes the auto translation does not work very well. ^^

I hope, I can summarize the main content of the video here.

1. Install the game. (Tipp: do not install it in the directory C:/Program Files)
2. Download the WigglesCommunityPatch.zip (https://wiggles.ruka.at/downloads/commu ... yPatch.zip)
3. Extract the WigglesCommunityPatch.zip
4. You do not need to install the patches, because you have the English version and it is already patched
5. (For you the international SetMode file should also working for you)
6. Fix sound problems: copy the Files I3codecx.exe, wigsound.exe, madplay.exe to the diggles installation folder
7. Run the I3codecx.exe once
8. Copy the sequencer.tcl and the 2 Trigger_*.tcl files into the directory Data/Scripts/classes/story
9. Copy the zwerg.tcl file into the directory Data/Scripts/classes/zwerg
10. Change compatibility configs of the Diggles.exe to Windows XP SP3 (if it is not working, use a different one )
11. Run the Diggles.exe always as admin
12. Change compatibility configs of the WigHelper.exe to Windows 98 / ME
13. Run the WigHelper.exe always as admin
14. Change compatibility of your SetMode-File to Windows 7
15. I think the No-CD-Patch cannot work for you, because your Diggles.exe has another version as the german one. So skip this point.
16. Open the SetMode File. And do your graphic config changes.
17. Not Nessessary:
18. After this there are some tipps for stabability: Set the full screen mode to false and use the program BorderlessGaming
19. In WigTweak you can change some settings (particels, gamespeedlock, bordermask)
20. In your grapfic card setting you can change some more graphical settings

I hope, I could help you a bit. If you have problems, please ask some questions here or under the Youtube video. In the video comments you can find some other english speaker, who fixed some problems with the english version and the install guide.

I tried the fix using the instructions above and each compatibility mode on diggles.exe but I'm not having any luck running the program.
I actually did install all three patched because without them I would not have had the WigHelper files described.

Any extra suggestions?

I just tried putting the NoCD patch in the install directory (Wiggles.exe) and I was able to get to the main menu, but the 'Introduction' showed a black screen. Maybe I need a 1.844 NocD to run the game?

When I adjusted the compatibility settings on Wiggles.EXE i was able to start the tutorial. There was no dialogue and all the game options are written in german instead of english, I think everything might be resolved with an english 'Diggles' NoCd.

I found an english NOCD hiding away deep somewhere. I've shared it here to help other english language players if they stumble in.

I don't know, if this is an actual issue. You can try to set the value of "MaxShadowLightDist" to 0 in the WigTweak.exe

It replaces DigHelper with modified version, so that music and dialogues could work properly. I have it tested with English version of the gamevand it worked.

Long story short: it is from the Internet
I have found it many years ago on Polish hosting website called chomikuj.pl. From there it is very hard to get to the source. It works also in Polish and Czech version if the file is renamed from DigHelper to WigHelper without changing the language of the game. Every time I install Wiggles it is a must have for me
And so I think it is not open-source since I don't have nor found the code for it.
